It is mandatory for all drivers/companies to keep all their data updated at all times in the VicRoads system in order to avoid missing any notification.
Depending on the specific data that needs to be updated, there are some documents that you will be required to submit into the VicRoads system in order to proceed with the changes. It is very important that everyone ensures that you are in possession of all the required documentation before to start the process. Once you are ready you can submit your documents using two different ways:
By regular mail - You can send your documents to: VicRoads GPO Box 1644 Melbourne 3001.
Another way is to update your registration by visiting one of the VicRoads customer services * - You can visit one of the VicRoads centers near you.

Updating your address
To be able to update or change your address under a company name, you will need to submit an official company letter specifying some vehicle/vessel details. This letter must contain the company details and it must be signed by the director or the responsible person on charge of the vehicle.
Before making your appointment to change the address on your registration, it is necessary that you comply with all the following specifications in your letter:
- It must be signed by the responsible person of the vehicle.
- It must show the company letterhead and/or the company’s seal.
- The new address must be clearly written.
- It must contain the details of the affected vehicle/vessels (i.e. model of the vehicle, registration number, etc).
This letter must contain the company details and it must be signed by the director or the responsible person of the vehicle.

Updating your company name
To change the name of your company in your registration, it is necessary to submit an official letter to the VicRoads department. The letter must contain all the vehicle or vessel details. It is also necessary to bring a Certificate of Registration on Change of Name from the ASIC (Australian Securities and Investment Commission).
