Follow these steps if your driver's license has been lost, stolen or damaged, and you need to apply for a new one.

It is necessary to remind all drivers to keep their personal information updated in the VicRoads system at all times. All the personal data, the name, and the home address must be written correctly. (Is the driver's own responsibility to be updated and not to miss any VicRoads notification).
Saying this, and once everything is in order, now the driver can access the VicRoads online portal to request a new driver's license online. The procedure will take only a few minutes. A receipt will be issued at the end of the process, and it will be essential to keep a copy if it until the new license arrives.
All licences issue procedures will take up to ten days until it arrives at your home address. Please consider that if you live overseas or interstate, it can take up to 4 weeks.

If you prefer you can replace your driver's license using our regular mail service. This procedure will take you some more time than the online service, but the delivery time for the license will also be 10 days (up to 4 weeks in some scenarios).

Guideline to follow and complete the whole process:
- Download the PDF document “Replacement Victorian Licence or Learner Permit form” here.
- Complete the document in capital letters in a legible handwriting.
- Pay the fee (cheque allowed only).
- Send it to the address mentioned before.
- In a 10 days period, the new license will arrive at the home address registered on the system.
