The probationary Driver's license will be issued for all of those who are starting to drive in the area of Victoria, and for those who have lost their license due to different causes. All drivers must be 18 years old (or older) and legally reside in the area of Victoria in order to get a Probationary driver's license. Also, before applying for the Probationary license, it is very important that the driver helds a learners license for a certain amount of time (Please bear in mind that if during this period, the driver has been suspended or its license has been cancelled, the prior time will be stopped and restarted):

  • If the driver is under 21 years old - the learners permit must be held for at least 12 months.
  • For those drivers between 21 and 25 years old - the learners permit must be held for at least 6 months.
  • If the driver is 25 years old or older - the learners permit must be held for at least 3 months.

Please bear in mind that if during this period, the driver has been suspended or its license has been cancelled, the prior time will be stopped and restarted.
