Depending on the specific data you need to update, there are some documents that you will need to submit to the VicRoads system in order to proceed with the changes, please ensure that you possess all the required documentation before you start the process. Update your home address
To be able to update or change your address under a company name, you will need to submit an official company letter specifying some vehicle/vessel details. This letter must contain the company details and it must be signed by the director or the responsible person on charge of the vehicle.
Before making your appointment to change the address on your registration, it is necessary that your letter complies with all the following specifications:
- The new address must be clearly specified.
- The letter must be signed by the direct responsible person of the vehicle.
- The letter must be sealed, or show the company letterhead.
- The letter must contain all the details of the vehicle or affected vessels (i.e. model of the vehicle, registration number, etc).

Updating your company name
To change the name of your company in your registration, it is necessary to submit an official letter to the VicRoads department. The letter must contain all the vehicle or vessel details. It is also necessary to bring a Certificate of Registration on Change of Name from the ASIC (Australian Securities and Investment Commission).
